Canandaigua Churches in Action

Project: Canandaigua Churches in Action is holding its annual Free Smile Day in which dental professionals volunteer an entire day of free dental services.  MCT support would cover dental supplies.

Canandaigua Emergency Squad

Project: Canandaigua Emergency Squad will purchase advance life support bags for the paramedics. 

Family Canandaigua Kiwanis

Project: Dream Big Inclusion in Motion is a certified all-inclusive playground in the town of Canandaigua on Outhouse Road.  MCT funding will assist in the purchase of a shade structure over the outdoor musical instruments.

Family Counseling Service of the Finger Lakes

Project: Family Counseling Service of the Finger Lakes, Inc. would use MCT funding to provide a 10-week support group for children impacted by domestic violence.  This program will run concurrently with the skills for self-sufficiency group for victims so there is not a worry about childcare.

Family Promise of Ontario County
Project: Funding will assist with general support of Family Promise’s mission to help families who are homeless or facing homelessness.

Geneseo Parish Outreach Center

Project: Geneseo Parish Outreach Center (GPOC) will use MCT funding to assist individuals in the overall management of their chronic health conditions and provide education to promote life-long effective management of their health. They cover Ontario, Yates, Monroe , Wayne, Seneca, Steuben and Livingston counties. 

Gleaners Community Kitchen

Project: MCT Funding will help to expand the delivery of hot and nutritious meals to individuals who are homebound at 80 Parrish Street Complex.  

Mercy Flight Central

Project: To help cover the cost of the Whole Blood Project.  By implementing the Whole Blood Project, the air flight crew can ensure it has the necessary equipment to enhance positive health outcomes.

Ontario ARC

Project: To assist in the purchase of new parent and children’s books for the resource library to improve the current resources and offerings available to who receive autism spectrum disorder services through ARC.

Project: To help improve the quality of mental health, decision making and management of life in young adults with developmental disabilities who are entering and navigating adulthood and teach skills on how to cope with life stressors.

Project: Funding will allow the purchase of an AED.

Project: To purchase seeds, plant materials and fertilizer for its Kitchen Garden. 100% of the vegetables grown will be donated to Gleaners Kitchen.

Project: Thrive to Survive, to support programs assisting with the emotional, financial, and physical impact that cancer places on individuals and families.

Wood Library Association

Project: To assist in the development a seed library. The seed library will be a place where community members can swap seeds, learn about planting, harvesting, seed saving, healthy eating and community classes.

Bristol Volunteer Fire Department

Project: Bristol Volunteer Fire Department, for glucometers allowing medics to test the blood glucose levels of patients on scene so they’re able to provide this information to responding ambulances as well as treat any hypoglycemic patients with oral glucose.

Canandaigua Fire Department

Project: Canandaigua Fire Department, for standardized First Response/EMS equipment in all seven fleet vehicles currently in use.

Coubblestone Arts Center

Project: Cobblestone Arts Center in Farmington, to support opportunities for fitness and inclusion for persons with disabilities through instruction in dance, yoga, and exercise.

Project: Family Counseling Service of the Finger Lakes, Inc., for a self-sufficiency class for domestic violence victims residing in Ontario or Wayne counties who need assistance with financial logging and improving their credit..

Project: The Geneseo Groveland Emergency Food Pantry, to buy food for its emergency food pantry, which offers assistance to those in need in the Geneseo Central School District and surrounding areas.Geneseo Parish Outreach Center, Inc.

Project: The Geneseo Parish Outreach Center, to expand its diabetes management program to support the management of other chronic conditions, such as heart disease and pulmonary disease. Eligible participants will be uninsured/underinsured. Grant support will ensure access to prescriptions, medical care, and dental services needed, along with education on managing conditions and, if appropriate, substance abuse/mental health counseling.

Happiness House

Project: Happiness House, to purchase three large raised garden bed kits so individuals served in the Day Habilitation program can experience sensory stimulation, relaxation, and physical activity while learning to grow healthy food. 

Honeoye Community Food Pantry

Project: Honeoye Community Food Pantry, to purchase durable fencing with a gate, signage, a small shed, watering equipment, buckets, pails and miscellaneous tools for the community garden it has developed – along with several community partners – to improve nutrition, physical and mental health, and overall well-being.

Project: Ontario ARC, to support an eight-week pilot program of “Girls Empowerment” at Marcus Whitman Central School, focusing on the mental health of young women. The program will use a curriculum aligned with the American School Counseling Association

Project: The Red Jacket Community Library, to purchase an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and provide training for library staff and key volunteers.

Project: The Zion Fellowship’s Free Smile Day, to purchase dental supplies, advertising, and tent/chair rentals for the event, during which dental professionals volunteer and provide free dental services.

Project: The Supply-A-Smile Program of Zion Fellowship, for the purchase of dentures or partials to replace missing or extracted teeth for Ontario County residents who are not insured or cannot otherwise afford them. The program works in partnership with area dental professionals to provide free dental care.
