Dr. Kaplan is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in the treatment of advanced hip and knee arthritis with primary total joint replacement and partial knee replacement. His practice will also focus on complex hip and knee reconstruction including revision procedures for problematic hip and knee replacements. As a native to Rochester, NY, Dr. Kaplan joins the UR Medicine Department of Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation. Dr. Kaplan completed his Residency training at URMC, School of Medicine and Dentistry and then traveled to Indiana University School of Medicine to complete his fellowship training. While training, Dr. Kaplan received the Louis A. Goldstein and Mildred M. Goldstein Orthopedic Research Award which helped him pursue his research focusing on complex revision hip arthroplasty and improving/optimizing patient outcomes after hip and knee arthroplasty.
