Thompson Opens New Internal Medicine Location

FARMINGTON – Dr. Wilfredo Cruz and Dr. Reihaneh Derafsh recently joined UR Medicine Thompson Health at the system’s new internal medicine office located at the Thompson Medical Center in Farmington.

Both Dr. Cruz and Dr. Derafsh worked previously at FLH Medical PC & Clifton Springs in Geneva. They earned their medical degrees from Universidad Iberoamericana in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and completed their residencies at Universidad Central del Caribe in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

Both physicians are board certified in Internal Medicine and belong to the American Board of Internal Medicine, the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, and the American College of Physicians. Both are fluent in English and Spanish, while Dr. Derafsh is also fluent in Farsi.

Both are accepting patients at their new office. Located at 1160 Corporate Drive in Farmington – next to Thompson’s Farmington Urgent Care Center – the office is called Canandaigua Medical Group Internal Medicine. For more information, call 585-975-5145.
