Several Receive Awards During Thompson’s Nurses Week

CANANDAIGUA – Members of UR Medicine Thompson Health’s nursing leadership team presented awards to several health system associates during the annual celebration of National Nurses Week.

During a May 9 awards ceremony, Tabitha Arcarisi of West Henrietta was named the Hospital’s Nurse of the Year and Ana Calouro Arruda of Farmington was named Long-Term Care (LTC) Nurse of the Year.

The following were also honored during the ceremony:

  • Hospital Nurses of Distinction Elyse Catlin, BSN, RN, NYSAFE, of Spencerport; Megan Gray, BSN, RN, of Geneva; Jennifer Speranza, LPN, of Evan Mills; and Ragan Stevens, BSN, RN-BC, NYSAFE, of Canandaigua.
  • Hospital Nurse of Distinction in the Preceptor/Mentor category - Carrie Middlebrook, BSN, RN, of Phelps.
  • Hospital Nurse of Distinction in the Rising Star category – Linda Gross, RN, of Clyde.
  • Hospital Patient Care Tech of Distinction - Trevor Harris of Marcellus.
  • Hospital Advance Practice Provider of Distinction – Jacqueline Breese, PA-C, of Fairport.

  • LTC Nurse of Distinction for Respect – Brody Hotelling, RN, of Nunda.
