Nurse Practitioner Joins Honeoye Family Practice

CANANDAIGUA – A family nurse practitioner with more than 20 years of experience recently joined Honeoye Family Practice.

Kimberly Schunk, a resident of Geneseo who is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, obtained her bachelor’s in nursing from Alfred University in Alfred, NY, and a master’s in education from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va.

Her master’s as a family nurse practitioner came from the University of Rochester and early in her career, prior to relocating to Illinois, Schunk worked at Honeoye Family Practice for seven years. Most recently, she was with a clinic in Barrington, Ill.

Schunk is accepting new patients at Honeoye Family Practice, where Family Nurse Practitioner Karen Yax will soon retire after 24 years.
