Ferris Hills to Host Free Global Affairs Discussions

CANANDAIGUA – Ferris Hills at West Lake is once again hosting the Foreign Policy Association’s “Great Decisions,” the nation’s longest-running global affairs education program.

The eight-week series of group discussions will take place at 11 a.m. on Fridays, beginning Feb. 2 and concluding March 22.

There is no cost to attend the sessions. At each one, a DVD will be viewed and then those attending will break into small groups to discuss.

The schedule is as follows:

  • Feb. 2 – “Mideast Realignment”
  • Feb. 9 – “Climate Technology and Competition”
  • Feb. 16 – “Science Across Borders”
  • Feb. 23 – “U.S.-China trade rivalry”
  • March 1– “NATO’s Future”
  • March 8 – “Understanding Indonesia"
  • March 15 – “High Seas Treaty”
  • March 22 – “Pandemic Preparedness”

Interested community members may attend as many sessions as they choose. Optional “Great Decisions” discussion books are available for purchase online, at www.fpa.org.
