Ferris Hills to Host Arts Council’s ‘Reader’s Theater’

CANANDAIGUA – The Players from the Ontario County Arts Council will give a “Reader’s Theater” performance on Sunday, Feb. 11, at Ferris Hills at West Lake.

Called “Heartbeats,” the performance features romantic comedies and will begin at 2 p.m. It is open to the community and free of charge, although donations to the arts council are appreciated and would be earmarked for scholarships and community grants.

The arts council describes “Reader’s Theater” as a style of theater in which the actors give dramatic readings of the narrative material without the usual elements of theater. They convey the story using only scripts and vocal expression.

The Ferris Hills-hosted performance is one of three “Reader’s Theater” performances of “Heartbeats” that weekend. For more information, visit www.ocarts.org.
