Barbecue Benefiting Thompson Raises $1,225

CANANDAIGUA – A recent chicken barbecue organized by the Palliative Care Committee at the M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center netted $1,225 for their cause.

Held at Crosswinds Wesleyan Church with Grove Barbecue Company of Naples as the caterer, “Clucks for Bucks” sold 350 dinners in just over two hours.

Proceeds will benefit palliative care initiatives at the Continuing Care Center, UR Medicine Thompson Health’s 178-bed nursing home. The committee wishes to express its thanks to the community for its support of the event.
