Thompson Opens New Primary Care Practice

Thompson Health opened a new primary care practice this past September.

Located at 1160 Corporate Drive in the Thompson Medical Center along with our Farmington Urgent Care, CMG Internal Medicine serves as a satellite of our Canandaigua Medical Group with two internists based there.

Dr. Wilfredo J. Cruz and Dr. Reihaneh Derafsh both received their medical degrees from Universidad Iberoamericana in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. They completed their internal medicine residencies at Universidad Central Del Caribe in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. They worked previously at FLH Medical PC & Clifton Springs in Geneva.

Both physicians are board certified in Internal Medicine and belong to the American Board of Internal Medicine, the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, and the American College of Physicians. Both are fluent in English and Spanish, while Dr. Derafsh is also fluent in Farsi.
