CANANDAIGUA –The second annual “Harvest of Health” – a day dedicated to women’s health – is set for Saturday, Oct. 21, at Finger Lakes Community College.
The event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is hosted by Wellness Hub, a program of UR Medicine Thompson Health that strives to engage community members in achieving optimal health.
In addition to keynote speaker Lanelle Vasichek’s presentation “Your Best Day Ever,” Harvest of Health will feature a number of educational presentations from which to choose:
- “If Only Chocolate Cured Menstrual Pain” by Dr. Tessa Reisinger
- “Varicose Veins – Not Just a Cosmetic Problem” by Dr. David Lee
- “Cough, Sneeze, Laugh, Leak?” by Physical Therapist Kimberly Tonovitz
- “Think You’ve Tried Everything for Your Chronic Headaches?” by Dr. Devang Butani
- “Ladies, Let’s Talk – Opening the Lines of Communication on Birth Control, Postpartum Depression and Infertility” by Dr. Jillian Babu
- “Menopause – What is Happening to Me?” by Dr. Francis V. Finneran
Between presentations, women can shop at booths from local artisans, meet with fitness experts and browse interactive health exhibits as well as enjoy mimosas, heavy hors d’oeuvres, a hot chocolate bar and more.
Those attending Harvest of Health are welcome to attend the entire event or a portion of it. The cost is $15 per person ($5 for Wellness Hub members).
