CANANDAIGUA – Deborah Weymouth of Canandaigua advanced to Executive Vice President of Thompson Health and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of F.F. Thompson Hospital as of June 1. Linda Farchione, Thompson Health’s President/CEO, announced this promotion of Weymouth as a key member of the system’s senior leadership team.
A Canandaigua resident who joined Thompson in 1995, Weymouth is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Program Reviewer and a recent participant in the International Health Care Financial Management US/UK Exchange Program.
Weymouth holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and International Management from Thunderbird Global Management Graduate School in Phoenix, Ariz. Prior to her career in healthcare, Weymouth excelled in the banking industry with a major money center bank in Phoenix and in Los Angeles, Calif.
Since 2004, Weymouth had served as Thompson Health’s CFO, and led the recent improvements in Thompson’s financial strength and long-term stability. She was the Rochester Business Journal’s Financial Executive of the Year in 2008.
Weymouth’s new responsibilities include all aspects of the daily operations of F.F. Thompson Hospital, seven off-site primary care practices, and two Urgent Care Centers. Her areas of oversight now encompass Emergency, Inpatient and Outpatient clinical and support services and also include Associate Services, Informational Services, Diagnostic Services and the Clinical Laboratory.
