FARMINGTON —UR Medicine Thompson Health’s Farmington Urgent Care, which reopened April 1 after six months, has now resumed weekend hours.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both Saturdays and Sundays. Weekday hours remain 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Memorial Day, hours will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Located at 1160 Corporate Drive in Farmington, the urgent care site closed temporarily in late September of 2021 so the health system – which also has urgent cares in Canandaigua and Newark – could consolidate and redeploy staff, offsetting staffing challenges as the state’s COVID vaccine mandate for healthcare workers took effect. During the closure, the Farmington site was used for an outpatient monoclonal antibody injection clinic to treat mildly symptomatic but high-risk COVID patients.
While the health system is making progress in its goal to return to pre-pandemic staffing levels, several positions remain open. These include both clinical and non-clinical positions. For more information, visit www.ThompsonHealth.com/Careers.
