CANANDAIGUA – Following a decreased incidence of confirmed influenza and influenza-like illness over the past week in surrounding communities, UR Medicine’s Thompson Health is lifting the visitor restrictions imposed in December.
Effective today, Feb. 12, children under the age of 14 are again allowed to visit patients in Thompson Hospital and residents of the adjacent M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center. However, if any visitor – of any age – has signs of illness, they are asked to delay visiting until they are well. In addition, Thompson advises limiting visitors to two at a time for patients or residents who are sharing a room with another person.
