CANANDAIGUA – A longtime Canandaigua gastroenterology practice recently joined UR Medicine Thompson Health.
Now called Thompson Health Gastroenterology and located in Suite 201 at 3170 West St. in Canandaigua, the practice was established in 2000 by Dr. Raymond M. Thomas and was located for many years on nearby Parrish Street.
Thomas, who has had privileges at F.F. Thompson Hospital since 1995, is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with specialty certification in gastroenterology and hepatology. He is a graduate of the University of Rochester who did his residency, internship, and fellowship at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
The doctor is joined at Thompson Health Gastroenterology by Gerontological Nurse Practitioner Louise Linke and Adult Nurse Practitioner Allison VanPutte, both of whom were colleagues of his at the Parrish Street practice.
Linke is a graduate of Elmhurst University in Illinois who received her master’s degree at Nazareth University in Rochester. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. VanPutte received her bachelor’s from Syracuse University and her master’s from the University of Rochester. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
