CANANDAIGUA – Deepen your understanding of suicide prevention and learn how we can collectively work toward prevention at “Talk Saves Lives,” a presentation hosted by UR Medicine Thompson Health on Wednesday, March 19.
Held in the cafeteria at F.F. Thompson Hospital, 350 Parrish St. in Canandaigua, the presentation will run from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. and feature Paul Ziegler. An educator and suicide prevention advocate, he lost his 25-year-old son Jacob to suicide in 2015 when Jacob was serving as a soldier.
Ziegler, drawing from his extensive experience and personal journey, will provide insights into the factors contributing to suicide and practical steps we can take to make a difference.
The talk will explore:
- The scope of the suicide crisis
- Current research
- Effective prevention strategies
