Thompson Health’s Respiratory Therapy Department will host a Pulmonary Health Fair on Friday, Oct. 25, from 9 a.m. to noon in the Constellation Center for Health and Healing on the main Thompson Health campus.
The event is free and open to the public. It will include information about the Pulmonary Disease Management Program at Thompson, a spirometry station to test lung health, asthma education (with a free peak flow meter) and a medication teaching station featuring a free spacer demonstration.
The fair will also feature:
· Nutrition information for those with chronic lung disease
· The Better Breathers Club, a monthly support group hosted by Thompson
· Home care providers
· New oxygen and sleep equipment
· Information about Thompson Health’s Sleep Disorders Center
The entrance to the Constellation Center is off West Street, via a private drive called the Thompson Way, which is just south of the Eye Care Center. There is free parking, including handicapped parking, just outside the Constellation Center as well as a circular drive where visitors can be dropped off.
