CANANDAIGUA – UR Medicine Thompson Health is hosting an information session on Tuesday, October 4 for those interested in beginning careers as certified nursing assistants (CNAs).
Thompson covers the entire cost of the five-week CNA training course and pays participants while enrolled. Course graduates are guaranteed a CNA position at Thompson’s M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center. Newly hired CNAs are expected to remain employed – in a full- or part-time position – for at least one year from certification.
Beginning at 4 p.m., the one-hour information session will be held at the Continuing Care Center, located at 350 Parrish Street in Canandaigua. Those planning on attending must RSVP at Associate_Services_RecruitingFFT@URMC.Rochester.edu no later than Sunday, October 2.
Registered participants should park in the lot directly in front of M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center. They are asked to arrive early to allow extra time for a temperature check and COVID screening questionnaire. A Thompson recruiter will meet attendees at the entrance.
