CANANDAIGUA – In partnership with Foodlink, Thompson Health is hosting a Mobile Food Pantry on Tuesday, May 27, from 4 to 6 p.m.
Similar to a market on wheels, the pantry will offer perishable foods, free of charge, to those in need. These items will include breads, fresh fruit, fresh vegetables and dairy products.
“We’re excited to be able to provide this opportunity to our community, as part of our continued efforts to offer healthy options to all,” said Randy Jacque, coordinator of Health Services for Thompson.
Staff and volunteers from both Foodlink and Thompson will unload and distribute the food in the conference rooms just off the lobby of Thompson’s Constellation Center for Health and Healing.
Those accessing the pantry will be asked to sign in – for Foodlink’s count purposes only – and must be at least 18 years of age. There are no income requirements and no residency requirements. No ID is required.
Food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, with no guarantee that there will be enough food for all.
The Constellation Center is located on the north side of the main Thompson Health campus and is accessible via The Thompson Way, off of West Street.
