CANANDAIGUA – UR Medicine Thompson Health is hosting an information session at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10 for those interested in beginning careers as certified nursing assistants (CNAs).
Thompson covers the entire cost of the five-week CNA training course and pays participants while enrolled, with part-time benefits beginning immediately. Course graduates are guaranteed a CNA position at Thompson’s M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center.
Newly hired CNAs are expected to remain employed – in a full- or part-time position – for at least one year from certification. If they plan to further their education, they are eligible for tuition reimbursement initiatives and grants from Thompson, as well as promotional opportunities.
The one-hour information session will be held at Finger Lakes Community College, 3325 Marvin Sands Drive in Canandaigua. Those planning on attending must RSVP at Associate_Services_RecruitingFFT@URMC.Rochester.edu no later than Sunday, January 8.
