CANANDAIGUA – UR Medicine Thompson Health is hosting an information session on Tuesday, Aug. 9, for community members interested in beginning careers as certified nursing assistants (CNAs).
Thompson offers a five-week CNA training course and covers the full tuition, with participants receiving payment while taking the class. They are hired into a CNA position at Thompson’s M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center, where they are expected to remain employed – in a full- or part-time position – for at least one year from certification.
Beginning at 4 p.m., the one-hour information session will be held in the ground floor Thompson Conference Center (TCC) at F.F. Thompson Hospital. Those planning on attending must RSVP, emailing Associate_Services_RecruitingFFT@URMC.Rochester.edu no later than Sunday, Aug. 7.
On the date of the information session, enter the campus from West Street to park in the lot behind the hospital. A Thompson recruiter will meet attendees at the entrance to the Constellation Center for Health and Healing – located at the back of the hospital – and take them to the TCC.
