CANANDAIGUA – Michele Ford of Canandaigua recently was named the Director of Rehabilitation Services for Thompson Health.
A registered occupational therapist and certified ergonomic evaluation specialist, Ford has 24 years of healthcare experience in public, private and corporate settings. Most recently, she worked for Connecticut-based Onward Healthcare, a job that brought her – as a traveling occupational therapist – to F.F. Thompson Hospital and to Thompson Health’s skilled-nursing facility, the M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center.
Ford is a New Hartford, NY, native who has spent 12 years in the U.S. Army Reserves and is currently at the rank of Captain (on inactive status).
In her new role as Director of Rehabilitation Services for Thompson Health, she is overseeing Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Sports Medicine and Farmington Rehabilitation, as well as rehabilitation for both hospital inpatients and residents of the Continuing Care Center.
