CANANDAIGUA – UR Medicine Thompson Health is hosting information sessions for community members interested in beginning careers as certified nursing assistants (CNAs).
In partnership with Finger Lakes Community College, Thompson offers a five-week CNA training course. Thompson covers the full tuition, and participants receive payment while taking the class. They are hired into a CNA position at Thompson’s M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center, where they are expected to remain employed – in a full- or part-time position – for at least one year from certification.
The one-hour information sessions will be held in the Constellation Center for Health and Healing at the back of F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua on the following dates:
- Thursday, June 23, from 4 to 5 p.m. (RSVP by June 19)
- Thursday, July 7, from 4 to 5 p.m. (RSVP by July 3)
