CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. – Thompson Health’s Dianne Moroz, RN, MS, CIC, CCRN, was selected as a 2007 Rochester Business Journal Health Care Achievement Award recipient. Moroz, Director of Infection Control/Disaster Preparedness at Thompson Health in Canandaigua, is one of only three honorees in the Non-physician category to achieve this distinction. The awards program was created to recognize organizations and individuals making a significant impact on the quality of health care in the Greater Rochester area. Moroz has developed and led several highly successful programs that have strengthened community and interagency partnership, while raising public awareness and involvement in health and safety issues. She has achieved national recognition for her work in safeguarding the community; the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) selected her as one of its 2007 “Heroes of Infection Control.” Moroz will accept the award April 5 at Rochester Riverside Convention Center.
