CANANDAIGUA – UR Medicine Thompson Health and Wood Library are partnering to offer a free event for women on Wednesday, November 9, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Called “Wellness for Women: An Evening of Education, Empowerment, and Connection,” the event is for women of all ages and will be held in the Hamlin Room at the library, 134 North Main Street in Canandaigua.
A number of Thompson Health experts will give brief presentations:
• Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology Jillian Babu, MD, on cervical cancer screenings
• Certified Nurse Midwife Jessica Schock, CNM, on post-partum depression
• Stroke/STEMI/Sepsis Coordinator Thomas W. Bonfiglio, BS, RN, EMT-P, CEN, TCRN, on stroke in women
• Wellness Coordinator Jennifer Muscato, ACSM CPT, leading a mindfulness activity for stress relief
In addition, refreshments will be served.
