A family nurse practitioner whose experience includes emergency medicine, a medical/surgical environment and labor/delivery is the latest addition to Thompson Health.
Emily H. Coria joined Thompson Health effective July 20, working with HealthWorks and the Same Day Care Center in Farmington, as well as at The Thompson Clinic, a new facility in Canandaigua serving the uninsured, underinsured and working poor.
Currently living in Honeoye Falls, Coria grew up in Maryland and obtained her bachelor’s and master’s in nursing from Andrews University and University of Maryland, respectively. Her nursing career has taken her to Texas, Maine and Maryland, but most recently, she has worked in the Emergency Department at the University of Rochester Medical Center and as an adjunct faculty clinical instructor for nursing students at St. John Fisher College.
Coria’s skills include experience in a number of urgent care procedures, Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification, training in sexual assault forensic evidence collection and fluency in Spanish.
