Thompson Health announces a $350,000 gift from the Thompson Guild for the new state-of-the-art digital x-ray machine located within the Diagnostic Imaging Suite at the Thompson Health Urgent Care Center in Farmington, 1160 Corporate Dr., Farmington.
Since 1905, the Thompson Guild has raised more than two million dollars to purchase needed medical equipment and furnishings for the health system as well as provide education scholarships to Thompson Associates. This recent gift was made possible by Regina F. Crowe, a longtime member of the Thompson Guild who passed away in 2008. Regina entrusted the Guild to invest her gift to support Thompson Health in its mission to provide healthcare excellence to the community.
“Throughout the years, the Guild has been a loyal supporter of Thompson Health,” says Thompson CEO and President, Linda M. Farchione. “We are fortunate to have such a dedicated group of community members who donate their time and talents to raise funds for Thompson Health and all its services.”
The Guild’s gift to Thompson is helping to provide the community convenient access to unscheduled medical care. The newly renovated Urgent Care Center is equipped to serve the entire family, including children, and can treat a variety of conditions ranging from earaches and pneumonia to lacerations and minor burns. The addition of the new digital x-ray machine enhances the Center’s services for on-site diagnosis and treatment of suspected injuries.
