Courtney Middleton, Clinical Coordinator of Occupational Therapy/Outpatient Services at Thompson Health, has received her certification as a Hand Therapist through the Hand Therapy Certification Commission, Inc. There are only 5,213 individuals worldwide who hold this designation.
In order to receive her certification, Middleton had to have at least five years of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist, 4,000 hours of direct practice in hand therapy and a successful completion of advanced clinical skills and theory in upper quarter rehabilitation. This credential demonstrates achievement of expertise in upper quarter rehabilitation. Middleton will be providing edema control, scar management, custom splint fabrication, individualized assessment and treatment of all hand and arm injuries and conditions.
Middleton has been an Associate at Thompson Health since 1998 and is also a certified Lymphedema Therapist. She works out of both the F.F. Thompson Hospital and Farmington Rehab locations.
