CANANDAIGUA, NY – Hazel Robertshaw has joined Thompson Health as Director of Nursing for F.F. Thompson Hospital. Her responsibilities include providing administrative and clinical oversight to clinical areas within the hospital and offering leadership, vision and direction for Nursing Services to maintain Magnet designation.
Robertshaw previously worked as a nurse at the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She trained as a nurse in the United Kingdom at the Wakefield and Pontefract School of Nursing and worked in a variety of medical and surgical settings specializing in oncology nursing. Robertshaw worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Imperial Cancer Research Fund Unit, developed the Cancer Care program at Oxford Brookes University and was Lead Cancer Nurse for the Oxford Radcliffe Hospital NHS Trust.
Robertshaw attended Manchester University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Nursing, and received her Ph.D. in Nursing and Health Sciences from Kings College University in London.
