CANANDAIGUA - The Service Excellence Team (SET) at UR Medicine Thompson Health recently announced recipients of the health system’s Service Excellence Awards for the first quarter of 2021.
The individual recipients are as follows:
- RN Sheila Adam, Rochester, of Diagnostic Imaging
- Samantha Hemmings, Canandaigua, of the Lab
- Liz Hummel, Canandaigua, of the Medical Staff Office
- RN Kristie Pfaff, Walworth, of Diagnostic Imaging
- RN Scott Reed, Shortsville, of the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit
In addition, a group from the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit received a Service Excellence Award as a result of kudos from a member of an ambulance crew that brought a patient on a ventilator to Thompson. The group included Jennifer Buckley of Lakeville, Haley Christensen of Farmington, Dr. Trevor Clarkson of Rochester, Margaret Cochrane of Bloomfield, Mary Kate Corey of Stanley, Mary Decker of Bloomfield, Gerry Dilgard of Newark, Jessica Falk of Canandaigua, James Hart of Canandaigua, Dana Rojek of Canandaigua and Dr. Michelle Winchell of Rochester.
Created in 2014, the Service Excellence Award acknowledges Thompson associates who consistently deliver exceptional service. The SET selects award recipients quarterly, after reviewing system leaders’ submissions of compliments from patients, families and coworkers.
Each recipient of the Service Excellence Award is given points to be used on Thompson’s online shopping site and is featured in CEO presentations as well as on Thompson’s intranet site and in its internal newsletter.
