CANANDAIGUA – The Field of Dreams Gala recently hosted by the F.F. Thompson Foundation raised approximately $185,000 to benefit UR Medicine Thompson Health’s Healthcare Education Fund. This fund provides opportunities for Thompson staff members to obtain degrees or certifications necessary to advance their careers.
Held September 1 at Lincoln Hill Farms in Canandaigua, the Gala had more than 260 people in attendance. Genesee Construction was the presenting sponsor.
Foundation Director Heather Rickett said the event – which the Foundation was forced to cancel in 2020 and 2021 – far exceeded expectations.
“It was truly a magical evening, beyond our wildest dreams,” Rickett said. “It was also incredibly moving, because our guests got to meet and hear from people who have directly benefited from the Healthcare Education Fund and whose lives have been changed as a result.”
“We are grateful to all who attended, with special thanks to Genesee Construction, Canandaigua National Bank & Trust, The Pike Company, The Bonadio Group and all of our sponsors who supported our cause” she added.
