CANANDAIGUA, NY – The Thompson Health Board of Directors has appointed Deborah K. Weymouth as the Chief Operating Officer for F.F. Thompson Hospital. Ms. Weymouth, who will now oversee all the clinical and non-clinical Hospital departments, additionally assumes the title of Executive Vice President, Thompson Health.
Thompson’s Health’s Senior Vice President of Operations since 1999 and its Chief Financial Officer since 2004, Ms. Weymouth will remain the Chief Financial Officer for the health system. Her transition officially takes effect on July 7, and is part of an ongoing restructuring designed to maximize flexibility, improve organizational balance, and enhance management development within Ontario County’s largest employer. “This is an exciting time at Thompson Health, and no one is better qualified than Deborah to help enhance Thompson’s position as a growing, vibrant healthcare organization,” said Linda Janczak, the health system’s president and CEO.
A former banking executive whose first involvement with the health system was as a member of its F.F. Thompson Foundation Board, Weymouth first joined Thompson in 1995, as Vice President of Operations for what is now the M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center. The Rochester Chapter of Financial Executives International and the Rochester Business Journal recently named her “Financial Executive of the Year” in the category of Small Not-for-Profit.
