CANANDAIGUA – UR Medicine Thompson Health has added two more community flu clinics to the schedule first announced in September.
The newly announced clinics are:
- Bloomfield Veterans Park, 6910 Routes 5 & 20, Tuesday, Oct. 22, 3-6 p.m.
- Naples Ambulance, 199 N. Main St., Tuesday, Oct. 29, 3-6 p.m.
Administered to those 9 and older at these clinics, the standard 2024-2025 vaccine provides protection against three flu virus strains. There also is a high-dose flu vaccine for those 65 and older. This contains additional antigen designed to create a stronger immune response for the recipient.
The previously announced clinics remaining are:
- Newark Urgent Care, Unit 11 at 800 West Miller St., Friday, Oct. 11, 3-7 p.m.
- Canandaigua Urgent Care, 699 S. Main St., Tuesday, Oct. 15, 3-7 p.m.
- Farmington Urgent Care, 1160 Corporate Drive, Wednesday, Oct. 16, 3-7 p.m.
The flu shots are free to patients with insurance (patients must present an insurance card at the time of the visit).
