CANANDAIGUA - UR Medicine Thompson Health is hosting a free Virtual Hernia Screening Clinic on Tuesday, May 4, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Participants must register for a 15-minute screening online, at www.ThompsonHealth.com/Hernia. Space is limited, with a registration deadline of May 3.
The event will feature two general surgeons from Thompson Health Advanced Surgical Services, which is a part of F.F. Thompson Hospital. In addition to performing private, virtual screenings of participants, Dr. A. David Peter and Dr. Joseph Talarico will provide short video presentations via email prior to the event. These presentations will be focused on hernia causes and symptoms as well as benefits of minimally invasive surgery using daVinci® robotic-assisted technology.
