Thompson Health will hold its 14th Annual “Rose Walk” on Saturday, June 19, from 8 to 11 a.m. at Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion Historic State Park, 151 Charlotte St., Canandaigua.
Join “celebrity” walkers and teams on either the one-mile or two-mile walking route through beautiful Canandaigua neighborhoods. All walkers who are cardiac patients, or who have had a cardiac event, will receive a complimentary long stem rose from Rockcastle Florist.
The first 100 walkers collecting $35 or more in pledges will receive a free Rose Walk commemorative T-shirt. Donations of $150 or more received before June 1 will be recognized at the event. There is a minimum donation of $10. Please collect all of your sponsorships prior to the walk. After the walk, enjoy free admission to the Gardens, refreshments and more! Please – no pets!
This year’s honorees are Kay and Ron Charron of Bloomfield, dedicated supporters and active participants in the Cardiac Rehabilitation and Fitness Center at F.F. Thompson Hospital. All proceeds from the walk benefit the Center.
The Thompson Health Cardiac Rehabilitation and Fitness Center helps patients not only regain and maintain their physical health after a cardiac event, but through its combined program of education, exercise and camaraderie gives individuals who have undergone a cardiac event the stamina and sense of well-being they thought was gone forever. The trained cardiac rehabilitation staff offers a medically planned program of physical activities and counseling to help reduce the risk of a future cardiac event, and helps patients feel in control, confident and ready to resume their activities.
Rose Walk is sponsored in part by Finger Lakes Cardiology, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and many more generous businesses and individuals. For more information, visit www.ThompsonHealth.com or call (585) 396-6253.
