CANANDAIGUA, NY – A “Ride for Independence” to benefit Thompson Health’s Rehabilitation Services Aftercare Program will be held Saturday, July 28 at Onanda Park, West Lake Road, Canandaigua.
Riders can choose from three courses: 62.5-mile, 31-mile or 15-mile bicycle ride on scenic routes south and west of Canandaigua Lake. The ride features rest stops with refreshments, sag vehicle with bicycle mechanic, post-ride cookout and event
t-shirt for the first 50 registered riders. Cost of the ride is $30 per riders before July 15, $35 after July 15. Registration is at 7 a.m. with an 8 a.m. mass start.
The Aftercare Program helps people with chronic disease maintain their level of function and independence in the community. The program’s mission is to provide patients with continued services after their insurance benefits have ended or they have reached a maintenance level in their therapy.
