VICTOR – With a registration deadline of May 29, spots are still available for women to take part in the 12th annual Pink Fly Classic, to be held Saturday, June 6, at the Victor Hills Golf Club, 1450 Brace Road in Victor.
The classic, which begins at 10:30 a.m., will take place on the north course at the same time that the Pink Fly Invitational is taking place on the south course. The invitational is currently full.
The classic features a “best ball” format, in which everyone plays her own ball and the best score of a foursome for each hole is recorded. Registration for this tournament will be limited to 40 golfers (10 foursomes) but may be adjusted based on interest.
The cost is $95 per golfer and includes unlimited lunch, dinner, a cart, a tee gift and a chance to win prizes. Golfers are encouraged to take part in the Cart Decorating Contest, which has become a favorite at the event.
Proceeds from both the classic and the invitational benefit the Breast Health Patient Navigation Program at UR Medicine’s Thompson Health in Canandaigua.
Pink Fly Golf and Pink Fly, LLC, is an organization providing women with the opportunity to come together, grow and benefit others in the community. Since 2004, the organization has combined golf, fun and friends to help promote breast cancer awareness and education locally. To date, proceeds have totaled nearly $60,000.
