The 2011 Pink Fly Ladies Invitational Golf Tournament, held on June 4 at Victor Hills Golf Club, was the most successful in its eight-year history, attracting 148 participants and raising $7,700 for the Sands Cancer Center at Thompson Health.
Since 2004, the event has raised more than $32,000 for the Sands Cancer Center’s breast cancer awareness and education programs. This year, the funds are designated for the Breast Health Patient Navigation Program, which provides free breast health screenings, as well as support and assistance with coordinating a wide variety of services, for those diagnosed with breast cancer.
Thanks go out to the hole sponsors and the numerous golfers and organizations who contributed to the tournament.
The Pink Fly was created by women with a passion to help defeat breast cancer and a drive to combine golf, fun and friends. For more information, contact Nancy Alexander at (585) 738-4058.
