NAPLES –The 12th annual Margery Coughlin Pawluk Golf Tournament recently raised approximately $9,000 for the Margery Coughlin Pawluk Cancer Patient Needs Fund.
This fund helps patients of the Sands Center Center – on the Thompson Health campus in Canandaigua – with the unexpected costs of a long illness. It provides for necessities including groceries, gas cards, utility bills, specialized medical needs and even some home renovations.
Since its inception, the Pawluk tournament has raised a total of more than $100,000 for the fund, created in memory of a Naples resident who was a nurse at the VA Medical Center in Canandaigua as well as a mother of three.
This year’s tournament was held June 9 at Reservoir Creek Golf Course in Naples. Tournament winners were as follows:
- Senior Division – Bruce Didsbury, Richard Leschorn, William Levinson and Tom Pawluk
- Mixed Division – Dave Ciprich, Joan LeRoy, Marty Sample and Susie Yarnall
