CANANDAIGUA, NY- Palmyra-Macedon seventh grade students recently presented Thompson Health with new picture books valued at nearly $800.
The books, which will be used in Thompson Health’s five family practices, were presented to several Thompson Associates including two family practice physicians. During the presentation, eight students (representing more than 140 seventh graders who participated in the project) shared his or her memory of their favorite picture book.
The books were purchased through a Wayne-Finger Lakes Teacher Resource Center Restorative Readings Grant. The grant allowed the students a creative way to further develop communication skills while benefiting their community.
