CANANDAIGUA, NY – Thompson Health Vice President of Finance Mark Prunoske has announced the appointment of three new directors within the health system:
• Director of Patient Financial Services/Patient Access Penny Dodge of Sodus is rejoining Thompson after spending the last couple of years as Manager of Patient Accounts for Inpatients at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Her first day back at Thompson will be September 8.
• Director of Finance Michelle Pfeiffer, CPA, has been with Thompson for the past two years as Manager of Financial Services. Prior to joining Thompson, the Canandaigua resident worked as a manager at Eldredge, Fox & Porretti, LLP.
• Director of Reimbursement Lisa Poworoznek of Clifton Springs has been with Thompson for more than five years in multiple roles, most recently holding the position of Manager of Cost and Reimbursement. She recently graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with her Master’s degree in Health System Administration.
The appointments take place during an organizational restructuring designed to accommodate Thompson Health’s growth while maximizing flexibility, improving organizational balance and enhancing management development.
The health system is the largest employer in Ontario County, with more than 1,300 Associates, more than 250 physicians with privileges, approximately 400 community volunteers and gross revenues over $90 million. Its continuum of care includes a 113-bed hospital, a 188-bed skilled nursing facility, 132 independent living and enriched living apartments for seniors, an emergency medical service (EMS) agency, a medical adult day program, an immediate care center and five family practices.
