CANANDAIGUA – “Clucks for Bucks,” a chicken barbecue held Sept. 16, raised nearly $1,300 for palliative care initiatives at the M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center, UR Medicine Thompson Health’s 178-bed skilled-nursing facility in Canandaigua.
The event, featuring Grove Boys BBQ Catering, was held in the parking lot of Crosswinds Wesleyan Church. It sold out of 350 meals in less than three hours.
Proceeds will benefit individuals at the continuing care center, where the Palliative Care Committee works to enhance residents’ quality of life while also supporting their loved ones.
