CANANDAIGUA – In partnership with Foodlink, UR Medicine Thompson Health is once again hosting a Mobile Food Pantry on Wednesday, Oct. 3, from 4 to 6 p.m.
The pantry will offer perishable foods, free of charge, to those in need. These items will include breads, fresh fruit, fresh vegetables and dairy products.
Staff and volunteers from both Foodlink and Thompson will unload and distribute the food at Thompson’s pole barn, which is on the northern end of the Thompson Health campus at 350 Parrish St. in Canandaigua. To get to the parking lot closest to the pole barn, enter the campus via a private drive called The Thompson Way, off West Street, and follow the signs.
Those accessing the pantry will be asked to sign in – for Foodlink’s count purposes only – and must be at least 18 years of age. There are no income requirements and no residency requirements. No ID is required.
Food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, with no guarantee that there will be enough food for all. For more information, call (585) 396-6529.
