CANANDAIGUA, NY- The M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center, an affiliate of Thompson Health, received the Finger Lakes Technical and Career Center’s Business/School Partnership Award from the Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES on June 12. The Continuing Care Center received this award for supporting BOCES students and programs by providing students with clinical experiences, supervised field experiences and internships.
Thompson Health has been a supporter of the Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES programs for more than 38 years. Numerous Thompson Associates have served on the BOCES consultant committee, which provides direction for programs and curriculum to benefit the students.
“The programs through FLTCC are very important to the Continuing Care Center because it provides qualified CNAs, LPNs and other healthcare professionals to work with the wonderful residents of our Continuing Care Center,” says Sharon Pepper, Senior VP of Senior Living Services at Thompson Health.
The award was presented to Sharon Pepper, Senior VP of Senior Living Services, and Kathleen Vaughn, Director of Nursing for Senior Living Services, during the BOCES graduation ceremony at the Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center (CMAC).
