CANANDAIGUA – UR Medicine’s Thompson Health is now offering a Lymphedema Support Group, and the group will hold its first quarterly meeting on Tuesday, March 17, from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Constellation Center for Health and Healing at Thompson Hospital, 350 Parrish St. in Canandaigua.
Facilitated by Occupational Therapist and lymphedema specialist Angela Kiklowicz of Thompson’s Rehabilitation Services Department, this new group welcomes all looking for support in dealing with all types of lymphedema. Those attending the meetings are encouraged to share their experiences with lymphedema, including forms of treatment and therapy.
At the March 17 meeting, held in the Constellation Center’s Associate Conference Room, speaker Katie Dixon will share her experience of having a lymph node transplant in December 2014. RSVPs are not required. For more information, call (585) 396-6055.
