‘Living Healthy Workshop’ Starts Jan. 11

- CANANDAIGUA – UR Medicine’s Thompson Health will host a free, six-week “Living Healthy Workshop” beginning Wednesday, Jan. 11.
The workshop is designed for those who suffer from long-term health concerns or care for someone who does, as well as those who want to learn how to feel more in control of their own health.
Classes will be held at Wood Library, 134 N. Main St. in Canandaigua, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 11, 18, and 25, as well as Feb. 1, 8 and 15.
Developed by Stanford University, the lessons over the course of the six sessions will cover: - Techniques to manage symptoms including anxiety, stress, depression, fatigue, pain, frustration, limitations and more.
- How to start eating and exercising to improve your health.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- How to create an “action plan” for a healthier life.
