CANANDAIGUA – UR Medicine Thompson Health’s Wellness Department is hosting a free weekend experience featuring highlights of the nine-week Healing Pathways stress reduction course typically offered twice a year.
The “Healing Pathways Immersion” will take place over the course of two days in the M.M. Ewing Family Room at Wood Library, 134 N. Main St. in Canandaigua. The hours are Saturday, Feb. 15, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. Those who sign up to attend are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch for the Saturday session.
The weekend sessions will be co-facilitated by the Rev. Dr. Richard McCaughey and certified holistic stress management instructor Jennifer Klein. The two will discuss how stress is influenced by the mind-body connection, the state of our spirituality, how we relate to our emotions, and our patterns of thinking. Those in the group will explore how to shift from unhealthy habits and integrate relaxation practices into their lives.
Registration is required. To register, call Thompson at (585) 396-6111.
