CANANDAIGUA – UR Medicine’s Thompson Health will host a Pulmonary Health Fair on Friday, Sept. 26, from 9 a.m. to noon in the Constellation Center for Health and Healing at Thompson Hospital, 350 Parrish St.

The fair will feature information on Thompson’s Pulmonary Disease Management Program – which involves both education and monitored exercise – as well as asthma education, spacer demonstrations at a medication teaching station and a spirometry testing station where individuals can find out how healthy their lungs are.
Other features will include:
• Nutrition for chronic lung disease
• Details on outpatient appointments with Dr. Justin Weis, available through UR Medicine’s new satellite pulmonary clinic at Thompson Hospital
• Thompson’s Better Breathers Support Group
• Home care providers
• New oxygen and sleep equipment
• Thompson’s Sleep Disorders Center
There is no charge to attend. Ample handicapped-accessible parking will be available in the lot closest to the Constellation Center (accessible from West Street, near the Eye Care Center).
