CANANDAIGUA - Sunset Serenades, Ferris Hills at West Lake’s annual summer concert series, will kick off on Wednesday, July 17, with a performance by The Paulsen & Baker Band, with special guest Tim Chaapel.
The six-week, Wednesday evening Sunset Serenade series is free and open to the public, with free parking available. Those who attend are strongly encouraged to bring lawn chairs because seating is limited. Each concert begins at 7 p.m. and – weather permitting – is held in the courtyard shared by the independent living community of Ferris Hills and its adjacent, enriched living community of Clark Meadows.
With guitar, banjo, fiddle, harmonica and mandolin, John Paulsen and Keith Baker have been performing together for more than 40 years and their “good time” music includes country, folk, rock and bluegrass, with a little comedy thrown in.
The remaining Sunset Serenades schedule is as follows:
- July 24: It’s My Party
- July 31: Musique
- Aug. 7: The Music Makers
- Aug. 14: Cadillac Dawn
- Aug. 21: Daniel Henry
