CANANDAIGUA – An upcoming series, “The Food Prescription,” will walk participants, step by step, to a whole-food, plant-based diet.
The series begins Tuesday, Sept. 12, with a free introductory program, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Constellation Center for Health and Healing at UR Medicine’s Thompson
Hospital, 350 Parrish St. Presented by Dr. Kerry Graff and Thompson’s Linda Rowsick, RD, CD-N, this class will cover how diet impacts your health and will give
participants an opportunity to evaluate their current diet and see the benefits of transitioning. Call Thompson’s Wellness Department at (585) 396-6111 by Monday, Sept. 11,
to register for this free introductory program (space is limited).
The subsequent four classes take place on the subsequent four Tuesday evenings, at the same time and in the same location as the introductory program. These four classes feature Graff and Rowsick as well, costing a total of $125. Included in the registration fee are two books – “The Forks Over Knives Plan” and “The 4Leaf Guide to Vibrant Health.” Food samples, recipes, and other practical, useful references will be provided to assist class participants in transitioning their diets.

Call (585) 396-6111 by Friday, Sept. 15 to register for the four weeks of classes. Two co-registrants – who register at the same time – will be provided one set of books and handouts, with their registration fee discounted to $225 for both.
