CANANDAIGUA – The Service Excellence Team (SET) at UR Medicine’s Thompson Health recently announced the third quarter winners of the health system’s Service Excellence Awards.
The following each received a certificate and were featured in the employee newsletter as well as on the internal television channel:
• Sheila Brundage, North Cohocton, of the 3West floor in the hospital. Brundage was honored for going above and beyond for patients and their loved ones.
• RN Polly Higley, Canandaigua, of the Surgical Care Center. Higley was described by a patient’s family member as “outstanding in every respect.”
• Gale Hribar, Canandaigua, of the Lab. Hribar was described by a patient as exceptionally kind and empathetic.
• Susan Randall-Bullock, Stanley, of 3West. Randall-Bullock was cited by a patient’s family member for her compassion and her humor.
• Nichole Turner, Farmington, of the Lab. She works at Thompson’s lab draw station in Macedon and is credited with helping create “a family atmosphere” where patients experience both compassion and professionalism.
The Service Excellence Award acknowledges Thompson employees who consistently deliver exceptional service. They are selected each quarter by the SET, which reviews system leaders’ submissions of comments from patients, families and coworkers.
